Studio Operations Assistant (Part-Time)
We’re looking for a reliable, organised Studio Assistant to help run the Altt studio day to day, avoiding real-world project nightmares so we can focus on building high-concept cinematic ones.
This role sits between a Executive Assistant and a Production Assistant, with a strong focus on studio operations, follow-through, and keeping momentum up across the business. You will work closely with our Managing Producer and Creative Director, supporting them directly as a second hand to remove friction, make sure things happen when they should, and stop important work from stalling. Please note this is an operations and studio support role, not a creative position.
This is a part-time PAYE role, around 15 hours per week, Bristol-based. There will be some flexibility and some working from home, but we are looking for someone who can be in the office regularly and available in small amounts most days, rather than in one or two long blocks.
About Altt
Altt is a Bristol-based film studio and incubator developing original feature films, with a focus on commercially viable horror. We operate with a startup mindset, using clear systems, early validation, and lean teams to reduce risk and build sustainable projects. We value organisation, clarity, and people who enjoy making things actually happen.
Key responsibilities
Following up with collaborators, partners, and internal stakeholders to keep work moving and schedules on track
Supporting funding and grant applications by tracking deadlines, preparing materials, and making sure submissions happen on time
Responding quickly to requests, including creating and updating Asana tasks, organising information, and handling small but important actions
Keeping task lists, project plans, calendars, and shared documents organised and up to date
Scheduling meetings, sending follow-ups, and making sure decisions turn into actions
Providing general studio and office support to reduce load on the founders and prevent bottlenecks
Who we are looking for
Entry-level or early-career candidates are welcome
Someone highly organised, responsive, and comfortable taking direction
IT-literate, comfortable using or learning tools like Asana, Notion, Google Drive, email, and calendars
Interested in how film studios and creative businesses run
Film interest is a plus, but ambitions should lean toward operations, production management, line producing, or studio leadership rather than authorship
Startup or small-team experience is a bonus
Pay and structure
£13 per hour part-time PAYE, approximately 15 hours per week
Opportunity to grow to a full-time, salaried role
Optional additional paid hours or studio profit points may be available by mutual agreement for work beyond the core hours. This is entirely optional.
