ScreenSkills Bursaries
ScreenSkills can help individuals in the UK screen industries pay for training, coaching, and career development, including specialist courses, mentoring, and workshops that improve professional skills.
Eligibility ✓ UK resident working in or looking to enter film, TV, animation, VFX, or games ✓ Able to demonstrate financial need and a clear career goal ✓ Covers course fees, travel, childcare, and accommodation related to eligible training
Arts Council Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP)
Aimed at individual artists and creatives looking to take a major step forward in their practice. Funding covers mentoring, coaching, and skills development.
Eligibility ✓ UK-based creative practitioners ✓ Over 18 ✓ Not in full-time education ✓ Covers up to £12,000
DWP Access to Work
For disabled creatives, this scheme can fund training or support that helps you start or stay in work, including coaching, 1:1 mentorship, and practical training.
✓ For those with a disability or health condition ✓ Working or looking for work ✓ Covers up to 100% of agreed support costs
R&D-Linked Training (For Employers)
Businesses undertaking eligible R&D projects may be able to claim back training or coaching as part of their R&D tax relief, particularly when training supports technical innovation.
✓ UK-registered companies carrying out qualifying R&D work ✓ Covers a portion of training costs claimed via corporation tax relief
16 to 19 Bursary Fund
While we are not a direct provider, we can work with your institution to deliver coaching or creative skills training as part of your education plan.
